You have the latest nav software. If your graphics on the map seem outdated is because you have an old Map DVD. What year is your Map DVD?

My disc is a burned copy, but says 2010 on it.

Ok guys, I'm searching for an updated map dvd for my nav.

I found a 2013 map disc, but it only says it works for X5 from 2007 to 2009, yet says it works for the 2004 5 series? wouldn't the 2004 5 series and X5 share the same navigation setup? Trying to find a disc to buy or download as i've found tons of torrent, but none show the E53 as a compatible vehicle.

The 2004 5 series was the first year of iDrive and the newer nav systems. 2007 X5 was the first year of the same newer nav. I think the newest version of the MKIV nav disc I could find was the 2011 edition. Make sure it's a "high" version.

Might give eBay a try or even the dealer if you want to drop the coin. I'm not sure what the latest is. When I did my research about a year ago, the 2011 version was the most updated that was available.
