You're very close. According to Car and Driver road test in 2002 the 4.6is top speed is 144MPH limited by air drag.

edit: Kinda bored, I'm caught up on all my work at the office and go on vacation soon! I might have to try that I-95 thing on my way down to FL. Wife would not condone, but we'd make darn good time. I'll just wait until she falls asleep. :D

Saw the Car and driver test from '02. I think they got an abused 4.6is for their test.

From Motor Trend.....

"Top speed is electronically limited to 150 mph with the standard 20-in. rolling stock, 143-mph with the optional 19-in. wheel/tire combo."

Saw one mag test where the '02 4.6is ran 153mph with V-Box verification.
