Just an update, I have got rid of the tram lining.

When I got the car (3 months ago) it had some cambered (but legal) Advans 315s on the rear. The second set of Style 168s had no name (Iota?) 315's on the rears that were almost new.

I tried putting the Advans up front first as I figured I would get a bit more life out of them. The no-names, I wasn't too concerned about running them on the rear and letting the -ve camber do it's thing.

What I noticed was the Advans are quite a wide 315. They have very square shoulder blocks and the width of the tyre is truly the same width of the wheel with a bit of protection for the lip. The Iotas on the other hand, are a very narrow 315, and the shoulders and sidewalls are quite rounded, with little to no protection for the wheel lip.

So switched the Iota's to the front, Advans back to the rear - and tram lining was gone.

So I can put the tram lining down to either the wider foot print on the Advans, the -ve camber wear, or a combination of both.

Much happier with the way it tracks now. It's gone from being borderline dangerous to barely noticeable.
