Did you try to erase the codes? I am pretty sure this scanner will not even erase them.
There are a few fuses in the computer box, you can check them. |
Can you help me locate them?
I've checked all the fuses on the front and back panels that I can find under the passenger side and trunk
In the computer box.
Which is located where exactly? I only know of the one under the dash and trunk and also no idea which fuses are related to diesel
You will find the fuses above in the box that contains the DME (ECU). Open hood, remove cabin filters, remove tray, right side you will find a plastic box. Inside is what you seek.
Thank you so much for that amazing answer! Any hopes to find a fuse box diagram? Because the wires were cut I'm almost positive it blew a fuse and I really hope I'm on the right track!
Oh also, the scanner can clear the cel while running codes as well. But the cel comes on immediately at restart
Fair enough.
But who did this resoldering of wires????????? Quote:
How these wires got cut and resoldered is a mystery- why? When codes are immediate, it is usually an electrical connection/fuse/power supply. Classic is an O2 sensor heater code. Immediate on start up, a fused supply hidden under the DME. Sounds like a crappy situation. |
It's truly not a mystery the wires were cut because the vehicle was involved in an accident, I did the resoldering, I have a very hands on technical background so that was a piece of cake, other wires that I resoldered were the front parking sensors and fog lamps which work fine now.
I added a screen shot of the code reader on page 1 they are All SCR related. It is indeed a crappy situation I'm out of pocket over $4000 so far doing the labor myself minus the paint work. So you said the fuses are under the DME? The first thing I did was look for fuses and when I opened that box I didn't find any fuses inside... I also can't find any information online about a fuse panel in that area any help is greatly appreciated |
