More info on the running boards please! Any chipping issues?

I took the running boards off the car. It was a lot simpler than I heard from other people.

The running board is held on by clips and rivets and two bolts. Once taken off, the aluminum portion is attached by two plastic wedges, which are easy to break. You need to order the extra part for it and a few allen key screws. The plastic nubs just pop off as you push it down.

Once off, I brought it to this local powder coater by my way. He charged me little for it since it was a simple job. Received it back and installed.

Since its fairly new, I don't know how it will hold. I hope its fine. I'm going snowboarding this weekend. That'll be a decent test.

Doesn't sound too bad. My dealer told me they can do it, but they don't guarantee it will stay on. So I'm looking into powder coating, either colour match, gloss or even the black/slate colour like my iPhone 5s back, I love it! If I do the iPhone colour, I will also do the front sills in the same colour, and maybe the tow hitch :D

Man I am just laughing at your pictures... Every shot there is snow on the ground. Good job keeping your X so clean.

I agree spacers is all you need...:iagree:
Especially if you are considering another set of black wheels. Not worth the money IMO for very little impact.

Save it for a vacation where you don't need to shovel snow:D
