Finally got some wider shoes. Now my wheels don't look tiny with my flares.

Got new wheels (thanks for the referral 95wildtt)... you know what's funny is the dying TPMS sensors led me to discovering the Toyo Proxes STII tires had hairline cracks in the rubber due to them being 6 years old now, so I had to swap out tires and decided this would be the perfect time to swap wheels too. I liked the 214s except they were reps and had an unsolvable vibration above 60mph. I just couldn't deal anymore.

These 433 reps are perfect as far as a smooth ride goes. I put them on staggered Conti DWS (same sizes as the old set) as I wanted a change from 2 sets of Toyos too - and it feels like a considerably lighter car in terms of acceleration and turns at slow speed. The M5 wheels were my first choice but they don't come in a staggered size that fits the X5. Parting words for the Toyo Proxes STIIs - I put nearly 40k miles on them and they still had 8/32 tread life left - great tire. Time will tell how these compare.

Aesthetics - I'm still not 100% sure about the dark shade of these against a white X5. I got some aluminum plastidip on the way and will see how that goes. More pics after that project is done. The old rims were 11" wide in the rear and these are 10.5". You can tell the difference as the rubber tucks in on the rim more than I'd like. Also I need to widen them out from the arches even more which means 25 or 30mm spacers instead of 20mm. What do you guys think of the shade?

Do you have any side shots? Wanted to see a better look.

Our X5 spent time as a baby in Florida, a toddler in Ottawa and now a youngster in Europe.
Here she is on a family trip to the Swiss Alps. Loaded with 4 adults, 3 kids including a baby and somehow all of our gear (well except a couple pairs of boots I forgot in the garage)

BMW should hire your family to do a commercial, seriously.
Congrats on the great adventure ;)
