It won't hurt to check with your local dealer. They might say something different. |

they are either too big (requiring welding) or too small (requiring welding) and they all require cutting off some of the stock exhaust excess to make them flush or "matchable" to the rear bumper... and because i've tried every imaginable exhaust tip... i am now looking into full or cat-back exhaust systems...some of them i'm actually testing.. not too concerned about exhaust system warranty.... and parts warranty will come from the exhaust manufacturer... |
Agreed. Come to think of it, I can't recall ever a time where I had problems with the muffler system on any of the cars I owned, specially I never kept them for more than 5 years. So I should be okay with the welded tips and not worry about voiding the warranty. A couple of local muffler shops quoted me $80 dollars a piece to weld on a 4.8 style tip. I'm in no rush since my dealer gave me a free set of the rounded OEM stainless tips.
Do keep us posted on what type of set up you'll end up getting. |

Looks like the oval tips from HAMANN on a M SPORT. Pretty good.

I had welded oval tips to my last E70 with no problems with warranty and will do the same with the new sd version.
