DST/Clock did not change...
 

Did not drive yesterday, but as I got in the car this morning, the clock was still 1 hour behind, and I had to re-adjust it manually. I dont recall reading/seeing anything in regards to the auto-correcting for DST, but does this car suppose to change the clock automajically ?

Ah, on my old style E53, it's a manual change...maybe diff in
E70.

Even with auto correcting DST, it will not change this weekend. The time change was done a few weeks earlier, just like last year. My MBZ has auto DST but will not update until a few weeks later.

Other manufacturers have already adjusted their software for the new DST rules (Honda/Acura did for sure).... However, since I dont recall seeing any settings/checkbox for "adjust for DST", my guess that is not done at all ???

I suspect you are correct; they gave it great brakes and handling and
left out the automatic DST change feature. :rofl:

You need to change it manually.

BMW has never had a DST setting, and I don't really see the need for one. It's a simple task that took all of 5 seconds to do.

It seems a bit useless to have auto DST changes. Not all states in the US follow DST.

Useless to have it ??? I dont agree with that. The DST & timezone "map" is location-sensitive, and is aware which state do/do not participate. DST is even present in Europe (at least in UK, can not speak for the rest of the Europe).

In any case, my $20 cell phone changed its time yesterday automagically (as it got a signal from Verizon), it beats me as to why BMW did not introduce it, especially the one with the Navigation system, which gives it precise location and time signal from the satellites.

^ My XV6800 Verizon phone changed yesterday morning but this morning (1 day after) it was showing one hour before again as if the clock never changed. Weird stuff. Changed that manually and the X as well. I'm glad all this is just software-related though... we still have a chance at these kinds of fixes in the future.
