FYI X5E70 I have installed many name brands in the past, and those experiences have ot always been sweet and easy either.
Based on the information available I made a decision to give Stebro a go.

I must say that had the product arrived promptly and had it been made as they promised, I would be resonably happy. Just a shame they have had a number of issues and I am stuck down here in OZ.

I ope my comments and experience help those in the USA and hopefully when some of the systems are changed, positive posts will be made. Frankly, I thought they would offer to credit me for the system of at least a large % to make up for sending the wrng product and many weeks of inconvienience. The fact that they didnt means my business goes elsewhere now and into the future - as do my referrals and recomendations.

I did offer you the choice of either refund or an exchange. All systems that were sold here will be exhanged.

Exchange - Im not sure I have the confidence that the right product would be delivered, nor prepared to wait such a long time again - and sending the existing system back is costly and timely to repackage. Ive been inconvienienced enough.

Refund - As above. I think Stebro should be refunding a % of the cost of the unit as compensation and good will. I paid more than the agreed price and did not get the right product. Why doesnt Stebro extend a refund for a % of the system which help offset the loss for reselling to someone else locally?

I await your final response and offer

yup, the price i was quoted was by someone different than Dan, and it was quite a bit more. As i was in a rush due to a shipment "leaving in a couple of days for Oz" i rushed it through without checking.
