Interesting that it burns a quart every 5k miles. I guess I didn't notice because I only had 5k going into my annual service.

also might want to check if the drain nut is loose. i could almost unscrew mine by hand at 5300 miles.

Yeah, but if it does not leak, by hand or with a wrench, same thing isn't it? So long as there is no leak, the plug serves a purpose.
