But then again as if my X say trying to tell me something and so maaaannn when the light turned green i didn't even have time to think about it and it was on an inclined road too. the 4.8 smoked him so bad i didn't even expect it to be that easy.:rofl: I think this was a bad experience cuz' now i know what my "Black Mamba" can do.;) I guess thats it for my X's nickname.

What a dumba$$ picking a fight with a 4.8l; would be different if he would race my 3.0!
BTW, you are never too old to do things (at least that's what
I keep telling myself)!

Good JOB!

Here in Dubai, you have to race with cars better than yours. I have raced a Ferrari, Cayenne Turbo, and a few others. In a stretch race I would loose, but I only do it in moderate traffic. If you go all out, you are looking at a lot of $$$ in camera fines, and possibly 7-15 days impound if you exceed the speed limit by 80+ km/h.
After paying about $15k USD in fines and having my car impounded for a little over 30 days in 2008, I still find my self speeding often. :spank: :dunno:

Naahh. Happens to me all the time, and I'm in Charlotte, NC. Most times, I ignore them -- especially the Chevy-truck-driving fools who somehow think they can keep up.

A few weeks ago, a youngster in his modded Honda (read: loud exhaust) challenged me, and I could not resist. I actually felt sorry for that poor sap. :D

I love it when the little honda tuners come by, with their cute littel exhausts that sound like a swarm of west nile virus mosquitoes!
You have to watch some of those, though. SOme of those guys have a lot more packing than they let on. Ususally the ones with the plainer or primered cars. Those are the more serious ones. The other ones with all teh kits and wings are usually all show and an exhaust can. That and some black lights.

I know my limitations when picking a pick. Understanding my X5 is good from 0-40, and throwing the tranny to manual mode...

I wonder what happens when you shift from D to DS in mid race? :dunno:
I gotta try that next time. BTW folks, what car was your X's 1st victim?

Not first, but here are my last.

I was driving my 02 4.4 sport the other day and came upon an Audi B5 A4 and BMW e46 323i on the highway. Granted, they are not fast cars by any means, but on the highway I figured the field would be leveled somewhat. Both were modded up a bit (exhausts, wheels and so on). It was one of those times where I realized it was stupid after doing it, but for some reason I couldn't resist getting on it when I saw both of them driving somewhat "playful" in front of me.

The driver of the e46 gave a friendly beep as I let off the gas and he finally caught up.

I wonder what the Audi driver thought as he tried to pull away from me on a curved entrance ramp but kept getting a rearview full of SUV grill?
