I definately prefer the new staggered set-up because this set of wheels transformed the look of my truck. The ride on my new set up is so better and more comfortable, especially driving over bumps and uneven road surface. And of course, the driving is definately more pleasurable and fun eventhough, my work place is only 5 minutes drive from home :p:.

Stevev - need a bit of clarification please: you said that your OEM 18's with runflats were a pretty harsh ride that you didn't like, but then you said that the new replica's were an even firmer ride. So which setup do you prefer? which had the more comfortable ride?

hey, i noticed you didn't stagger the width with the rears, any particular reason?

Nice looking setup though. congrats!

It is staggered set up: F275/40/20 and R315/35/20.

I understand the visceral "it looks better" feeling, but getting a more comfy ride on 20's with low profile tires than 18's with EMT's is rare :)

Enjoy :)

I just saw speedvision motorsports ads in craiglist and is thinking of getting one. I know you have the option of just getting the wheels for $850 or if you want the wheels and tires (their option were toyo or vredestein (as advertised) with price adjustment. It's good you posted your pics as the photos in the ads were not that vivid and they looked nice (btw, we have the same color 2007 X5). I'm just curious though, what did you do with your stock wheels (and tires?) which btw, we have the same (michelin latitude and the 18" wheel) too. For my part, the tread of my original tires were almost done so i am going to buy new tires anyway.

You have an option to buy just the wheels only or get the complete package at once. In my case, I just bought the whole package and have them install at the same time to save time.

I sold my stock wheels to one of the members here on the forum.

Is there any concern for buying replica Vs OEM? I think there is a set of OEM wheels (21") for about $3500+ on ebay. Some ads seem to indicate how replicas' quality is not on par. Are replicas usually heavier than OEM?

I have 19" sport wheels with 255s and I am thinking of getting 20" staggered wheels. However, spending almost $4.5-5k for upgrading from 19" to 20" do not make sense for me. Replica with 2k or so price tag sounds more like it.

Thanks,

Looks great. I have a 35d on order and am planning to get the same wheels. Did you swap out your stock TPMS sensors, buy new ones, or go without? I understand that they changed the sensors on all 2010 models so that may be an issue.

Thanks.
