I have 19" sport wheels with 255s and I am thinking of getting 20" staggered wheels. However, spending almost $4.5-5k for upgrading from 19" to 20" do not make sense for me. Replica with 2k or so price tag sounds more like it.

Thanks,

all replicas are not equal.... getting the right replicas can have the same quality as OEM. Some reps are just plain heavy.

In general, reps are usually heavier (which increases, usnprung weight) this will drastically reduce performance. As for safety, get the reps that has been certified (TUV etc...). Also, get them in OEM offsets. I prefer OEM's over reps, only because I am anal like that.... :)

I thought the same. But I guess whatever performance difference may result, it probably is not worth $3-4000 difference.

Talking about upsprung weight, I saw a set of OZ wheels at Tirerack and each wheel (20" x 9.5") weighted at 16.8lb. I do not know what stock 20" wheels (or even 19") weight at but 16.8lb would be hard to beat for the size. Too bad it's out of stock.

does anyone have suggestions on where to get good replica's? I was thinking about getting the 214 replica's and having them painted matte black. i have seem them a few places, but only on ebay with a staggered setup...modbargains.com has them, but only 9.5...ive never seen them painted black anywhere either??
