Got VIN for 2010 35d and now shows "in production"
 

It has begun . . . . :D

Dealer sent VIN today so I went online and saw the updated status.

Thanks to all the posters for the information that I've gleaned. Can't wait for it to arrive, upgrade interior lighting and then go have some fun! Oh, and post some pics back . . .

I've heard that some dealers have to wait to get an order together - this is one of the largest dealers in So. Cal. so we're right in there.

It was Xoutpost that let me know I could order a 2010 at that time so we jumped right on it!

I wasn't going to get the technology package but after I read about the new larger screen here at Xoutpost, I easily upgraded since, as many posters have said, you can change your order without losing your place in line up until it goes into production.

I'm a little confused how it can be in production yet - cause I thought the plant hasn't converted to the 2010's yet?

Fingers crossed that they have started!

I went into production status a few days ago, but they were giving me November delivery dates (and I am doing PCD). I pushed back and am still hoping for early October. Order went in more than 3 weeks ago.

Our X5 has been in "Schedule for Production" status for about 2 weeks now. We never got our VIN, though.
