This was my biggest concern when ordering the Diesel, based on the doomsday scenario. I'm going to stock up on this stuff.
Urea is relatively easy to make, and it's produced naturally by our own bodies. In fact you'll usually see Urea/BUN levels with standard kidney tests. It should last a good 10k miles. It's not new technology, actually, but I doubt the techs in the US are completely familiar with keeping the system properly running. It will take them a few years to dial it in, as with any new technology, I'm sure. |

Maybe I have a bad sensor:D A PS I keeed, I keeed.... |
just had the 9xx miles warning on mine as well, but have only gone 1060 miles. Warning went away on restart. I wonder if there is a problem with the pump from main tank to heated tank, or as someone else suggested, a bad sensor? It is above 32 degrees today...
Among the other quirks, the idrive shows your oil level but no engine temp and no urea level. Seems these are two things to keep an eye on... Bet it could be added through programming since the car is tracking both through existing sensors. |

Cannot tell you how annoyed I am that there is no engine temp gauge on the diesel... just amazing. |

I agree 1,000%. It really irks me that they have that stupid MPG gauge instead on the U.S. models, when for approximately the same cost or less they could have had a temperature gauge there, as apparently some markets receive. |
