Why no love bmwusa.com?
Question: Why can I build a 2011 550i that is not even available yet, but the x5 configuration program is still nowhere to be seen? There are 2011's on my dealers lot....so why can't we configure yet???

I've been wondering the same thing.
|
Because X5 is made in NA as in Not Available. :D

BMW international (bmw.com) has the LCI up for a while now if you just want to check out colors etc:
BMW X5 : 360° Visualizer Ignore the talk about the 40d since that's not available in the US. It is ridiculous that it's built in the US but the international site gets the update weeks ahead of the US site (it's on sale for *bleeps* sake). I'd expect something like this from a small company, but BMW? |
they forgot to update it?? :wow:
that's the only reason i could think of... i thought at first they want to wait for dealers to get rid of 2010 inventories first but when i was out shopping there weren't many 2010 left but the 2011. |
no X-Drive for the 5series??
|
because BMW is a pathetic company. really, there is no excuse

X-Drive on the 5 series comes out in September. Not unusual for BMW to introduce models slowly. (Not defending the decision, just explaining)
The lack of having the 2011 X5 on the website is just plain stupid. My dealer was also wondering about it today since customers can't preview the 2011s and they are out of 2010s. |
Maybe the IT guy is on vacation?
