And somebody repeated a rumor that LED Corona rings would come in September, could they be part of these changes? I don't see them listed.

It sounds like this update includes the new iPod Out feature for IOS4 phones, which is pretty cool.

Here is attachment directly in case it's removed.

The previous materials have said it would show up in October production.

Wow. No mention of the recently announced "iPod out" support in ios4. LAME. BMW makes a big thing about announcing it for 2011 a couple of weeks ago, but no mention here.

Nooooo. That's still referring to the old style interface. Sure album art is displayed but its just pulling that from the song meta data. Not using the new ipod out functionality. What they are describing here is already available in Europe on the 3er coupe and 7.

Does anyone know how exactly the album art feature works? Because I used Windows Media Player to rip my CDs (WMS Lossless), I have the album art jpgs in the same directory as the MP3s already on my USB drive.

Sure. For mp3s when meta data support v2 was introduced it allowed album art for the track to be embedded directly in the file. You can use any id3v2 tag editor with mp3s to do that or simply use iTunes. Embedding album art in the mp3 is no different in principal from adding information about song name, album, artist, etc

Not sure about windows media. Got a feelin' that behaves differently.
