Need advice on a new X5!

My wife and I are in the market for a new diesel X5. I have been looking at mainly used 2009 and 2010 X5's but there is a new one (2011) in the area that I might be able to get an excellent price on. The issue is the options. Typically I like my cars fully optioned but this one isn't. Here is what it has:

Premium Package
Rear Climate Package
Technology Package
Roof Rails
Heated Front Seats
Satellite Radio
Ipod/USB adapter

Is there anything this car doesn't have that you guys think is an absolute deal killer? The vehicle is for my wife so I don't think Sport Package really matters. We do go skiing a lot so the lack of Cold Weather package is unfortunate but really not that big of a deal.

I think I can get the vehicle for $500-$1000 over invoice plus the $3500 ECO Credit plus the $1800 Tax rebate.

What do you guys think?

Cant you order a new one for that price? (and do check on the tax rebate, for some reason I thought it was ending...)

$1800 rebate ended last year.

I think you are right. Still might make sense with the ECO Credit.

That's a decent deal. Most of us are getting around that for a new x5d. So I wouldn't say it's a great deal.

The one thing that I would want is the comfort access. But it's decently equipped and if you want new I say go for it. It's a fantastic truck.

You can quite easily order a 2011 diesel or 2012 gasoline x5 for 500-1000 over invoice so why not order it with the exact options you'd like?

I agree, this in my opinion is no time for compromise. Get the color combination you want. After having comfort seats, I can tell you a BMW without them is a deal killer for me. Also, living in New England, the lack of the Cold Weather Package would also be a deal killer. No need to compromise, get the options you want.

Thanks for the input guys! I will speak with my sales advisor about this and see what kind of deal we can work out. I have the comfort seats in my current X5 and they are spectacular I agree.

The 500-1000 over invoice is what I wanted to hear! I wasn't sure that was the case...and in fact might not be in Southern California.

no cold weather pkg and no comfort access. the hud is also a nice option

All great advice. We might have a little one coming soon so I think comfort access is a definite yes. I have it on my m5 and love it. Might just make sense to bite the bullet and go get exactly what we want at the dealer.

Quick question the sport package doesn't seem to offer much for the price. Thoughts?
