Ordered new ones from Leebmann.de

These new ones were broken out of the box.
Original BMW, but they just seem super brittle.
Right side had a crack at the middle section almost halfway, while the left one was cracked only slightly at one side.
Going to return these ones, but afraid I will only get another 2 that is equally bad.

Didn't BMW redo these in a different plastic the original version?

Maybe I got some old-new stock??!!

Is there a way to see when the part was made looking at the BMW p/n sticker?

I replaced mine too. Apparently BMW is not above designing a few Achilles heal parts into their vehicles. Like the notorious coolant expansion tank.

Yep, I have had many Bimmers over the years and the plastic is not always fantastic as of late.

Could be an NOS issue...depending on the vagaries of your markets.

Ive seen lot numbers and control markings on plastic parts, but usually we have no idea what they mean- what is new and what is old. For example on many parts there will be a screw inside the mold that they turn to 1,2,3,5, etc o'clock, which signifies different runs.
