Engine Compartment Partition Broken - Replacement Help

5 Attachment(s)
Hi All,

I have a broken part 10 on RealOEM.com * BMW E70 X5 3.5d Mounting parts, engine compartment. Also, missing the screw that attaches near the left fender. The entire assembly (right part 10, center part 14 and left part 10) is detached from the bulkhead. There is a lot of black sealant which I assume was adhering them. I'm surprised that only sealant was used here. Has anyone run into this problem and what did you use to fix? Also, part number for the screw would be appreciated. Using zip ties now.

Thanks!

Replace all 3 pieces to be safe.
And you'll need rivets, not screws.

Thanks for the suggestion. Anyone know what adheres the pieces to the bulkhead and the part number for the rivets? Thanks.

OP, you need to read this thread.
Those broken pieces result in water leaking on engine, seeping through the sound insulation foam and right on an injector, corroding and bad stuff happens. Details, parts numbers and pictures in the thread.

You're welcome! Did you check the injectors under the foam insulation?
If it is corroded, the plastic itself will be least of your problem at some point.

Not yet, but I plan to when I replace the plastics. Thanks again!

Were these plastic partition pieces hard to replace? Mine are all cracked too.
