Thanks,

My BMW ULF part number is 84 21 6 945 387

As SG indicated, the purpose of the AdvancedAutovations kit is to provide the necessary wiring adaptors that allow you to install the BMW bluetooth system into older BMW's. The production date on my X5 is 09/00 and my BT system works flawlessly - and it is the BMW BT system, not some aftermarket system.

Just to let everyone know, I did manage to get bmw retrofit the car with bluetooth, it required an adapter, also from bmw, but then everyting just worked. got a rev.10 ULF box in the installation. sweet :-)

Now the rev.10 box is for sale as I've upgraded to a rev.13 box for iPhone compatibility.. Theres no snapin adapter available for iPhone 3g - unfortunately... but thats also the only missing thing...

Supposedly there is a iPhone 3G snap-in that is coming any day now. I believe that it is part number 84.21-2 151 038.
