The car was not even properly detailed. There was brake dust on the wheels, not just a little, but almost as if the car had been driven for 20 to 40 miles after the last wash.

A couple days after i picked up the car, i checked my fluid levels. The washer fluid level was half the capacity, the Coolant level was minimum, the engine oil level was little below minimum. The spare tire was not the standard 131 for the 4.4i and was a completely different style, WTF.

It's scary to think the implications had i trusted them and driven the car for 3K miles before checking my oil or coolant level.

This is unacceptable by any standard, more ss for a dealership selling high end cars.
The CPO process at many/most dealerships is a quick car wash, and oil change if you are lucky. It allows them to add 3G's to the sticker and pass any warranty claims back to the mother ship.

Herb Chambers in Boston has a captive realtively wealthy audience and don't really have to go out of their way to sell cars so I'm not surprised.

Anyway, no harm done, enjoy your new ride.

Hub Bimmer owners would be better served to never go to these crooks and clowns...ever. Their service advisors and svc techs are unable to diagnose problems properly and when pressed to figure out the problem, they end up accusing owners of tampering with their vehicles...yes, this happened to me. They've also cracked my Z3's hardtop over torquing the mounting screws on a previous visit. They have pretentious sales people to boot! They get the gold star for being worst dealership in the area.

Though it has the captive audience of the affluent and int'l student crowd, most Boston owners go their out of convenience, proximity to neighboring Brookline and Allston-Brighton, and location near public transportation. I, for one, have such disdain for them, I will never give a penny's worth of business to those idiots.

I recommend BMW Gallery of Norwood/Norwell. They have approachable service advisors, better/knowledgeable techs, and a brand new showroom.

I didn't have a buying experience with Herb Chambers but I can tell you that I do not recommend the service department. STAY AWAY!
