Anyone running the SprintBooster in their X5?

I'm thinking about ordering another SprintBooster (I have one in my E60) for the X5. Just wondering if anyone on here has it installed on their X5 and how they like it.

If nobody has it, maybe I'll have to be the first.

You'd better get ready to duck! There are a lot of strong feelings about SprintBooster.

It's a great thing. I love it on my M. They now make one just for M cars, which is great. I had it on my 530 as well. On top of the remap, you still notice a difference in throttle lag. Sure, it doesn't change the fuel timing, but it definitely helps push the car through the gears.

This has been discussed on countless threads on E60.net with pretty much all members in support of the product.

I think I'll get it for the X5 too.

I think I need the opposite of this product as my pedal is too light.

But how is the car as you drive it through the gears as you get up to 70-80mph? The Sprint Booster helps here as well. It's not just from take off.

yes that would be nice actually.. My problem is keeping the car at speeds between 35-50 mph. I have to actually keep my foot elevated and can't rest it, which is annoying.

That is annoying. That sounds like something is wrong with the pedal itself. So there is no resistance as you depress the accelerator pedal? Just resting your foot pushes it straight down? Did you take it into the dealer?

Well no, it won't go to the floor. If I rest my foot on the petal I will gradually be doing over 100 MPH. It's only too light between 0-60 which I believe is the way the 4.6 is set up. I wouldn't mind more throttle response between 80-100 for overtaking.

I drove two other 4.6's before buying and I believe it was the same.

It could also be attributed to my huge feet and heavy shoes

That is bizzare. Sounds like a flaw to me, but maybe I'm missing something?

No I don't think it's a flaw. I'm just being a baby. Although I do have a friend whom describes the same problem with his S4, having to keep the foot elevated at normal driving speeds.

If I think about it, it was equally hard for me to keep the e39 M5 at normal driving speeds. It's probably just similar tuning.
