Let's face it: with so many cars out there, it is practically impossible to design or facelift a car and not draw "looks like <insert name of car>" comparisons.

I like the facelift! Looks clean.

I agree. I like it, but.. I think the current rear-end is better looking than the one in the spy shots.

I also like the facelift if it is like autobild's pictures. It will certainly be my next car. Wait and see... But if it seems like "...." it's a BMW and no one make cars like BMW ! Design is not all !

Didn't the Porsche come out in 2005? The 6 series was a 2004+

Some new spy pics of facelift 5 series. The headlights are from current model.

BMW will launch next year in spring a mildly restyled BMW 5-Series. The photos are showing two shots of the interior including the new automatic shift lever, and a sedan and station wagon featuring new air intakes in the front skirt and a smoother rear skirt. With this facelift, BMW intends to put the 5-series in a better market position against the recently released restyled Mercedes E-Class

Notice that the buttons next to shifter are saying "Sport", "Auto-H", "Stau" (Traffic jam) unlike "Power", "DSC", "EDC" as in M5.
