The back looks better I don't like the front too much though.

BMW is copying a lot of the Japanese (Lexus) design cues as they suit its' primary market = USA, although they are not beyond copying other German marques...... remove the boot and see the similarities........

Schocking !!! Don't have BMW Designer any imagination ?
I also think that Autobild pictures seems "made in Japan"
It seems too early for a new 5 series in 2009. The E60 has come in 2003. The average time of life of a BMW is 8 years , isn't it ?

More subtle
If you go to many other forum all they say that facelift will be very very subtle. I think the bild on the first page is too much if it's a facelift : poor E60 buyer wich will have an old car in a few month... BMW is not Audi wich always change all the model...

Wait and see...

Is BMW making new engines with 2007 facelift ? (diesel ?)
