Both of the E30's have been in the family for a long time (my grandfather owned the red one before my brother) so they tend to get the most love. Kind of like oldest children!

Having said that, they love every minute behind the wheel of all 3 of them! I'd be surprised if any of them leave the family any time soon, even if an E90 is added.
I thought you would say that about the e30. The M3 has been my favorite car for years. It would be great to have just about every version of it in the family. Now you got to get your hands on a set of those keys.

Looking good. Are you going to do an Evo treatment? Go for a stock look or more of a show car look? I see the smoked rears and the M Parallel wheels so I'd guess you're going modern. Some Group A mirrors too?

I had an '88 E30 M3 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had my one and only personalized plate on it: "ORIG M3". Still have the plates in my garage. I hated when people asked me about the body kit on my 325.

Good restoration job. Keep us posted. Here's a M3 generations thread I posted a while back with pics of E30 M3.

If I had the time, money, resources, I would have to go for a E30 Warsteiner DTM replica....

Definitely keep us updated on your project. I'd still like to have an e30... or even a 2002.

There's a ways to go on my car. A lot of things have been done and lots more to come. It's not all original as all the suspension has been changed............ OEM 740i M-parallels, etc, etc. It's to be an E30 M3 to my tastes without ruining the original intent of the car (I hope). I have the *BIG* flapped rear wing and the front splitter at home being prepped, as well as the airbox and a a host of other things. It's not a trailer queen but it's not a track rat. Eventually I want to be able to prep it to become a track rat........... but I'll enjoy it as a street cruiser first.

Oddly, I'm not happy about the smoked rears (which are the real deal and not painted). A bit off for my tastes and I'm going to go bad to the original tail lights. I also have a set of smoked euro smilies sitting on the shelf to still go in......... and a spare motor on an engine stand I'm using as a reference....... as I try to learn more about this car............and becoming more and more of a DIY-er mechanic.

Anyways, it's been an awesome project so far. I just wish I had more time to invest in tinkering around with it.............. oh, and more money.
