Watch the 2nd video posted. He's definitely shifting himself this time and using the shifter. I doubt adding paddles for them at this point would be difficult given the car is likely pre-wired for it.

I think there testing the gearbox. See the printout on the instrument cluster where the power to being delievered to each wheel just under the S3, that looks like a new feature.

Either this video is of the very early in the development of the M X5 or the they are putting the X6 special diff and its XDrive control into the X5 and seeing how it performs, because it looks like the prinout is of a e-diff because of the way its moving the power from one wheel to the other, the X5 cannot do that only the X6 can at present!

It's a late in development video. Berd Limmer is head of functional integration and was solely responsible for fine tuning the current M3. He's not testing the gearbox, he's making final decisions on suspension components and settings. To say that he knows his shit is like saying BMW is German!

Yeh, well that split torque system showing the xDrive is definetly from the X6, and if the M X6 has paddles and the M X5 has not I would call that a major cluster f**K.

I wonder if they are going to give you the ability to fine tune the setting to how much power is going to go the the back & front wheels or whether you can adjust the e-diff setting from say standard mode to sports mode 1,2 or 3, interesting!

X5 M has the DPC as will the facelift X5s.

X5 M will be the one to have. Performance of DPC, with utility.
