No I agree with you, the sound of the engine is a bit underwhelming. i think the regular 4.8 sound better.

The drivers and passenger seats are sooooo comfortable I can't speak highly enough about them. I'm not crazy about the thigh bolsters but they don't detract from the overwhelmingly comfortable seats.
The bolsters on my sport seats are still holding good.

I have seen few converts on m5board since the X ///M came out. Guys who crtiticized the idea of BMW doing ///M SUV talk differently after a test drive. Some M5 owners are moving to X ///M.

I got pulled over tonight. Don't know how fast I was going but I was wide open throttle through second and into third.

Cop let me off with a warning

Glad you got lucky.

The highway cruising speed is going to make living a ticket-free life difficult. I set the speed warning at 80mph and it goes off constantly as I think 'I can't be going more than 50.

The last ticket I got was in my 4.4i. Cop says 'If you can afford a truck like this, you can certainly afford this ticket'.

This M5 owner is moving to the X5 M in the next few weeks. My M5 lease is in the process of assumption.

Wow...that is a great write up and thanks for sharing your experience with your new M-ride. Just a friendly reminder, just take it easy on the gas pedal
