Ive read lightly here and there about Escort, VOne, etc but at the end of the day I just wanna know what will cover me the best. I'm pretty good at looking for cops, using the gears to slow down instead of slamming on the brakes and giving it away when they see my headlights dive or my taillights come on when they pull the trigger, but I'm using such an old detector now. I'd to know what will get me worry even less.
Seems right on topic. Your using the same detector as the one you used in HS? I hope you are only 20 yrs old

Some of it is what you like and are used to. I prefer the V1. Just upgraded the software a year or so ago. And I Laser Interceptor for jammer. I used to use the Lidatek 30. But it would stop working every year and a half. Then they stopped answering e-mails. So with a little digging I found the LI has the best record. Have been using it for a year with good results.

I have heard people swear by the Escort 9500ci as a total install. As far as install so, it seems to be the cleanest. Many people like the GPS fearure to filter out false alarms.

Sure seems like a lot of trouble to go through. I guess we could all slow down

I just installed the 9500ci as well as the Blinder M47 jammers (my source felt strongly that the jammer ability of the escort was not quite as good, I figured if I am going this far, might as well go all the way!), just had it all installed and really like it. The GPS feature seemed silly to me, but now it makes a lot of sense...as you drive around you can lock out the spots you know are not cops...stores etc. Makes you react faster when it does go off!

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
Speeding tickets and BMW's go together, the handling and control makes so easy to do 80 in a 55. It happens to us all, if you got a ticket in state with points it is probably worth while to hire a attorney.

Did you just not install the 9500ci jammer parts? I am thinking about doing this. I use a V1 but some of the 9500ci features seem nice. But I have heard the same thing about the 9500ci jammers. Are you able to buy the Excort without the jammer units?

Nope, you have to buy it all...however I have the jammers set to receive so that you get a warning on the display as well...the Blinder has a LED that flashes and a beep, but no other display.

I passed a light blue (magenta?) X5M on the highway today... it was pouring rain so maybe that had something to do with it... but the thing is not meant to just cruise at a constant speed... come on now!

Can you post some photos of the install please?

Cheers,

Is it the same as this? BMW M3 Individual: Monte Carlo Blue Edition - Top Speed

Because it was MUCH lighter than that - that particular monte carlo blue is unmistakable. It actually looked silver when I was following it. Then as I passed on the next lane, it had a light green/blue tone.

Maybe it's new BMW M color-changing technology... gotta dodge cops ya know?

Was it like in this pic below?
It could be silverstone as it has a blueish green tone to it.
