Fwiw, there are a few posts on the 'other board' that describe the X1's ride as 'choppy', 'rough', 'makes passengers feel sick', etc.

No idea if that is what the US model will feel like...from fading memory, the initial X3s also had that occasional tag of 'too stiff suspension'.

That other board also has posters actually ordering the US version X1 without even seeing/sitting in/driving it which is a remarkable leap of faith, imo.

When the local dlr(s) get some, take the Boss down and have her drive one/some.

The ones I saw in CDA last year look as JCL described: a 'raised' 3 series, which is what it basically is. The rear space was minimal, as in I don't think one set of golf clubs would fit, but your CEO may not care about the fairly small rear storage space.
