Auto Transmission Question / Adaptation Values Reset
Current Errors: 54C6 oil wear 52D4 incremental transducer Could not successfully reset for adaptation values using: - key in position #2, depress gas for 30 sec, nothing happened and no beeping occurred indicating successful reset of values) We replaced the transfer case at 150,000kms BTW Has anyone successful performed the auto tranny adaptation values reset on the E83? I think all the posts I have found (and there's been many(!) I have read in the various BMW the forums) indicating the 'how to' don't seem to work for this car. What should I try next? We have been getting slight slipping when going from 2nd to 1st gear and further investigation through this forum indicates likely clutch plates slipping and possible need to replace the clutch with a kit, rather than transmission issues. Still, it would be good to know if the adaptation values can be reset;
Thanks for reading |

You might need to use the GT1 / DIS software to properly reset the adaption values.
I just finished uploading a new video to showcase how to drain and flush the transfercase (transfer case) for a 2005 E53 X5. At the end, I even show how to use GT1 / DIS to perform the adaptions reset. https://youtu.be/Ol4PofF-fZY
