Trunk lid going Crazy Ghost Open then stops working
My rear lid was opening on its own for 2 days, to a point where it was just contently opening up without stopping for about a minute. Finally stopped, kept driving and at home it just didn't open any more. My key fob stopped working a while ago so that was out of the question, but the rear lid grip worked up to that point. Now it doesn't. From my research it Seems like moisture go to it and I should replace the grip. My Question: Does the Trunk Lid Grip (#16) come off on its own once the 2 hex bolts are out, or do I need to take the entire TRIM (#2) off along with the grip 1st and then separate the two? |

Be very careful, it could snap...use plastic trim tool to release the body plug/clips. Mind you there is an electrical cord/wire there for the lights. But really I think you simply have a weak battery that needs to be replaced with a new fully charged battery.

thanks for the clarification.... lol weak batter?? No issues with any other items and starts strong everytime. Dont think a low vol battery would fail to unlock since it locks/unlocks all doors. |
