Buy a dedicated set of snow wheels and tires - sooo much easier than swapping out tires alone. I have done this for 4 BMW's and it works great and is probably cheaper than if/when you kerb one of your summer rims and need to replace it.

Many choices for tires, lot of good recommendations on here and you wont go wrong with any of them - look at tire rack for some side by side reviews

Many people on here selling winter beater wheels - heres one

I would like to do this - but I don't want the ugly steel wheels, and I don't want to shell out for BMW alloys.
How do I know if a replica, or any other wheel is the right size - offset for example?

Thanks

Or, buy my set of 17" BMW OEM wheels; they have Michelin Alpin dedicated snow tires mounted.
Tread is good for at least one more "season", maybe two. The Micheies are dedicated snows with
the snowflake, but not so agressive that they are easily chewed up on the pavement...

I realize this is a blatant pump to move my set of wheels&tars, but I've about given up. If I don't
sell them before mid-Nov., they are getting tossed down the fookin mountain.

$400 firm. Shipping, which is a real PIA, is extra.

Or, I might be back in NJ before the snow flies and I could deliver.
