My paperwork is in the car, I'll run out at lunch and grab it so I can see what they wrote

i always used the same key, but the problem is now gone aster they recode the key.

Sometimes ours will NOT tilt down but if you move the mirror with the switch a little the tilt down feature wil start to work again. I did find a work around. I leave the mirror switch in the passenger position and I stay away from curbs. I really never liked that feature and don't care that it only works some of the time.

Let us know what the paperwork said and what the dealer fixed.
My SA emailed back and mention he never heard of it and may not get fixed if they can't reproduce it.
My mirror problem only happens once in awhile like 1 out of 8 times. It's random and sometimes it doesnt happen at all, but when it does happen, it can be dangerous. I know the temporary fixes that people have mentioned but I am under warranty and want it fixed. Thanks.

The first few months of ownership, we had this issue. Then later on we took it in for service for something else and they happened to find this problem and replaced the entire mirror under warranty.

My SA emailed back and said that he searched through his bulletins but didnt find that it was a known problem. Is it possible to tell me what the details were on your paperwork or any help you can give so that my SA and technician can pinpoint the issue.

My SA says if it is not a known problem or they can not reproduce it, then they wont be able to fix it. Most of the time the mirror works properly but once in awhile it doesnt and I am not sure if it will happen when the Dealer checks it. I really want to get it fixed cause I find it dangerous.

Anyone else have this mirror problem and got it fixed under warranty?

If so, please let me know what they replaced or fixed? Was it a wiring problem like a short of something or did they replace a mechanical part?

I want to get this fixed but like I said, my dealer either needs to be able to reproduce the problem or needs to have a bulletin that shows it is a common problem.

Thanks.

For us, they special ordered and replaced the entire passenger mirror. They must have found a fault code or it must have happened when in service, cuz we didn't actually request repairs be done on it.

I'll find the invoice when I have time for the P/N. If you can't wait, play with this

I'm in the exact same situation. Dealer couldn't reproduce it last time I had service but of course it happens just about every day otherwise.
