I would definately say one of the 2 sending units is faulty, and how far off the reading is would depend on which sending unit is acting up and how much gas is in that half of the tank at the time. May be worth the price of dealer diagnosis to track down the side at fault, as the GT1 tester can read the amount of fuel in each side of the tank through the kombi module and they can compare that to what is in there. It can also store fault codes in the kombi for the sending units as well.
