PS window stuck down, EEPROM-KI

Hey guys,

On Friday last week I got some kind of bogus EEPROM-KI message on dashboard. At first I didnt know what it was but as I started driving a realized none of the gauges were working except for the speedometer! Its the first time Ive ever seen this in the last 5 years that I have had the vehicle and I havent run into the same issue since Friday. Not sure if its a problem or not

But now I have a potentially larger problem... my front passenger side window is stuck in the 100% down position and cant get it to come back up. I remember hearing some kind of clunking sound the last time I rolled it all the way back up which was earlier this morning. Whats really odd is when I push the button to roll it back up, I can hear it attempt too, and also the engine starts to sound funky and the lights dim

Im assuming the window regulator went bad? The car is calling for an inspection (service interval ii)and my bmw mechanic (non dealer) quoted me $1,273.06 + tax and includes oil and filter change, fuel filter, air filter, pollen filter, spark plugs, and differential fluid change... which seams like a lot to me... but im wondering if I should just let them do the window regulator too if its a pain in the ass... although I might have to at this point if I cant get the window up by morning.

EDIT: Oh yea - they also suggested I do the Cooling Overhaul as well... FML $$$$

Its a 2006 and has 89K miles on it.
