Really considering the Remus for my 2005 X5 4.8is. I really like the look of the quad tips and new is only $1183. That Eisenmann deal sounds good but would have to take off the flat oval tips and put on new quad pipes. How hard is that? My shop here could handle anything but they recently got a Remus account and are "pushing" those and have three they did on BMWs recently. They all sound great and LOOK very nice, just not sure they do what and Eisenmann does on quality of materials and sound. Opinions? |

Anyone know if that eBay auction fits the 4.8is?

Those pipes in the pictures look like the larger 4.6 and 4.8is pipes. Any good muffler shop can make this fit just fine on the 4.8is architecture.

I'm thinking of renewing from the manifold back, thus removing the cats and putting in a X-Over pipe and retaining the rear stock back boxes on my 4.6is.
Anyone done this? Think it would sound pretty epic. |
