Replacement headlights for 2002 4.6is
Greetings!
The headlights on my 4.6is are so clouded and yellow that I can barely tell when I have my low beams on. The high beams are better, but not anything like they used to be. I have seen several companies with aftermarket replacement headlights. I was wondering is anyone has installed one of the replacements? If so, how well does it work? How easy/difficult was it to install? Is the quality what you expected? My only alternative is purchasing OEM replacements, but I 'm hoping I can get a nice looking replacement set if the quality is up to snuff. From my perspective OEM is better than most aftermarket stuff, albeit (EVO-FXR retrofits).
How about having your existing lights resurfaced and protected for the future with a clear bra?

I actually have had them resurfaced once already. I am thinking of looking for a decent used set. That may be the best way to go. But like i said, I like the look of some of these aftermarket kits, but the low price points to low quality.

If you properly resurface the headlights then they will be as crystal clear as to the day that they were new. I redid mine and they came out perfect after doing an 5 step wet sanding process, buff them out, then place a protection layer on the surface. |

The 3M headlight restoration kit that can be used with a power drill works fine.
Depending on the date of MFG you may have the headlights that can be baked open. If that is the case you can change the look and install angel eyes.
