Guessing that four.8is, itscoo2pyopants, and TECHN1K are all un-married Because anyone who is married would know that YOU DON'T JUST DECIDE UNILATERALLY!!! I don't care if I get kicked off this forum. NEVER DISCOUNT A WOMAN. If she says the dumb car goes and he is willing to agree with her than it goes. You treat her as though her thoughts on the vehicles in the stable don't matter just get ready to lose a lot more than the value on the car. Get ready to lose EVERYTHING! These statements are **cking disgusting!

Yikes! I think the comments could be seen that way but could also be just humorous wsys to solve the dilemma I find myself in and pointing out that both opinions count when shared interest is on the chopping block.

I appreciate the effort to reach out with an opinion and don't think for a moment anyone intended to be disrespectful. Just guys and garage talk. We all, married or not understand the "couch" as the possible cost of a victory sometimes.

Now if I can direct everyone's attention away from that back to this X5.

She hit 100 passing someone today on a fun little 2-lane road up a pass. I think she kind of has feelings for the rig but like getting bucked off a horse she's a bit saddle shy.

Patients and time... I'm optomistic.

If yes, you lose 13-16k, you keep it, you've got a reliable X for years to come. In 5 years from now you'll still get 5000$ for it.

I think sometimes being a man in the house is just what the doctor ordered.
Take decisions together, please your wife, listen to her sometimes cuz we tend to be brainless at times, but losing that much money just cuz, idk, doesn't make sense to me.

I know I'm gonna get flamed; but I've got my fire costume on!

It's paid for, owned so yes, this has been my point to her from the beginning of her talk of selling it.

I guess to me, it's her rig. I like having it quite a bit and think it's a special thing but I name my cars and she does not.

I'm with this guy ^. It gets to the point where it's not really worth selling it, especially if you still like the car and dumped tons of money into it. Fix any minor issues and enjoy it. Post it up for sale, if the right buyer comes along, great. If not, hang onto it. I would regret selling such a nice example.

^mind you, I'm married and got 2 kids. No, you don't take decisions on your own, but men see things differently than women especially when it comes to cars...im just gonna leave it at that so this thread doesn't turn in something else.

When it comes to decisions regarding our vehicles, my wife leaves it 100% up to me. She is admittedly not savvy enough to make them.

It's as simple as that for me. Your mileage may vary.

So when she calls "no joy" and says she feels uncomfortable driving the vehicle you have provided (for reasons of it FEELING unreliable and there for unsafe in her mind) you just tell her to suck it up and drive it anyway?

Funniest line I've read in weeks. Just as a phrase not what it was in context.

Irrelevant. My wife is an engineer. She doesn't make decisions based on feelings. You should try her cooking.
