The truck just hit 80k miles super clean inside and out new tires all around runs smooth and super strong still, dampering lowering suspension and rear spacers. Gps work. Truck is actually a rare truck to find with this combo and pano roof.

If I fix this issue how much is it worth? I still see this model 2006 4.8is for sale online for $16-$18k with 80,000 miles or are they just over priced in my area?

Carmax is only gonna offer auction prices, thats it. Plus your right on the edge of car they will retail at 10 years and likely will end up at auction anyway and they wont retail it so less profit potential in it for them. Your only bet for getting more is an enthusiast site like this and for that youll have to fix valve seal and AC.

Also did they see the smoking valve issue and factored that in their price? Ill echo what others have said swapping interior is a PITA you dont want.

Interior swap takes a day... but is not bad.

But, I think a more realistic price to an enthusiast would be $12-13k with the valve stem issues. I paid $14,500 for my imola red with 90,000 miles (and needs VSS) but it had Dinan goodies on it. Personally, VSS don't make or break a deal for me as long as it doesn't smoke horrendously after idling for only 5 minutes. My truck takes about 15-20 minutes of idle before smoking.

So I replaced both CCV membrane on valve Cover it was a super easy task and I don't know seem like it fixed the problem. I've used it and havent seen anything from the side view mirror and have left it running for about 30 minutes and nothing. Even before it Would just do it very randomly. Truck runs super strong and looks very sexy. Sorry but my girl has to go as my new Rubicon with same color scheme silver on red is already in my driveway �� $15,000 is what I want for her she's still a very rare and sexy sporty truck

She still runs super strong just hit 90,000 miles and smokes from left exhaust here and there randomly.. Located in Chicago

It's a year and 10k miles later and it still smokes...

Average trade in on your car is 9500. CLEAN retail is $13k. You just need to make a real for sale ad if you're really trying to sell it.
