I swear, my cars are like a girlfriend.
Sometimes its a rough ride, sometimes its smooth motorin'.
Sometimes she doesnt like how i treat her and sometimes i dont like how she behaves.
BUT at the end of the day, she loves it when I am inside her.

I belonged to one forum that was a ghost town since every thread was met with "do a search". It seems there has to be some kind of balance between redundant threads on one end and threads about unicorn projects or mods.

The random threads do not bother me too much, I help when I can or feel like it and ignore the rest. Most forums have heavy, knowledgeable posters that seem to anchor the forum and then others that chip in here and there and then those that ask and go. All seems normal to me based off the dozens of forums I have been apart of.

I suppose this would be a good opportunity to extend my gratitude to one and all on this forum for extending your welcome, sharing your experiences and offering your wealth of knowledge.
Without the help that's been provided, suggestions and advice, I believe I would have wasted a great deal of money, lost more hair and undertaken unnecessary work to my E53. Thanks a bunch guys & gals!

Pretty much as soon as they find the fix they move on not bothering to update their post.

PLEASE take the time to post follow up to what you find as a solution.

End Rant.
So, did you ever get this resolved?

You never updated.

They sold the car after you inform them that the X that they thought they got for a song is going to cost them twice what they paid for just to fix that one problem they are posting about.

I always enjoy the back and forth and have always learned a few things along the way on our challenges of ownership.

Now back to the subject, "I have this noise......."

There are 3 pages of updates.

I dont think this will ever be resolved. I have found it helpful here as well as the other forums I belong to for other cars, ATVs and PWCs.

I do find it helps if you PM the person asking them if they would not mind updating their post once in a while.
