I had the same issue. I could connect to the dongle but no apps would register it. The same dongle and apps work just fine on my phone.

I can grab some settings screenshots from my unit with Torque Pro and post later. The blue OBD symbol is a good sign. Your adaptor is different to the two I have tried, well cosmetically. They could be identical internally.

My WiFi OBD2 adapter feeds Torque Lite just fine.

I did have to go into the Torque program settings to tell it which adapter I was using (WiFi or BT)

Does the BT OBD2 work with an app on your phone? Just to confirm it is functioning???

Hope these screenshots are of some value if you haven't already got it running.

So does Torque Pro only work through the phone and into the head unit ? Or does it actually install onto it and read all the info off the canbus?

It works just like if you had the app installed on the phone.

You install the app onto the headunit, you plug in your bluetooth obd dongle, and then you connect the headunit to the dongle via bluetooth.

I am very interested in this. Where do we go to find out how to install these?

Installed the Eonon unit in my wife's E46 today. I replaced the factory navigation. I've only had about 15 minutes behind the wheel, but I streamed Amazon Music from my phone and made a couple phone calls via bluetooth. Everything worked really well including the steering wheel controls.

When I got home, connecting to my WiFi was easy. FM reception is very good. Sound is also very, very good. I am sure I'll find things not to like about it, but for day 1, it's assured me the path to a 6.0 unit from another seller is the way to go. More as I use it!

Look for this Icon on the various menu pages of the Eonon, search for car dashboard and choose any app to try. Click install to get the program onto your Unit. It's a matter of playing around with it then to your liking. If you don't like one, try another. It would pay to delete apps you don't want, as they all use the limited memory.

Mike
My screw mod only provided temporary relief from the bottom edge of the Eonon frame kicking up and out.

I realized that there was a gap between the top of the Eonon frame and the center vent frame. This GAP was allowing the Eonon top heavy chassis to bounce down and cause the bottom edge to kick out.

What I have done yesterday is created two black plastic shims from some old GPS brackets that I had laying around that were about 0.125" thick. I cut the shims about 0.375" wide and pushed them into the top corners between the Eonon frame and the center vent corners.

After about 80 miles on I35E construction yesterday and today, the rigidity appears to be much improved and no kick out of the lower edge of the Eonon frame has occurred.

Hopefully, this will be my long term fix.

I have written Eonon support and encouraged them to figure out how to use the two factory fastening screws at the lower frame to immobilize/secure the lower section of the Eonon frame. Maybe in next generations might incorporate screws in the bottom. I looked at putting the screws in the bottom of the frame, but there is not enough "free solid frame lip" to drill through to make the screws work. I even had a plan to put little black furniture plugs in the top of the countersunk screws, but not enough flat lip at that edge of the frame to make it work.
