I recently purchased a 2007 4.8is. It has the front and rear axle air suspension with sport suspension. My wife has a 4.4 without the sport suspension. I noticed her X5 cents almost two inches higher than mine. I know this is due to the fact that I have the sport suspension which sits lower. I would like to raise the default ride height so mine sits a couple inches higher like my wife's so I will have more ground clearance when we go camping, dirt bike riding, etc. I took my X5 to my local independent mechanic yesterday to have the ride height raised. However, he performed a ride height calibration and stated the vehicle is sitting at the correct stock height. When he attempted to input different measurements to make the car sit higher the program would not allow it, indicating there was too much variance between the current ride height and the input ride height. If anyone could provide any guidance I would really appreciate it as I am taking my car back to my mechanic today to try adjusting it again. I do not know what software program he is using. I only noticed that it was a blue screen.
