I used it on my wheels, great results. Even better results if you spend some time scrubbing the wheels and use a power washer. Definitely worth it.

The DUB/Meguiar's cleaner available at Walmart is the same thing. Goes on bright neon green, turns blood red when reacting with iron. It's also about half the price of Sonax at $6/bottle.

I've been using it for years and when you buy a 5L refill as I do, price gets down to $7 for 500ml spray vs twice as much if you buy it in spray bottle.

We've got 3 cars in the HH. 2 that are DD - one that is a garage queen. 5L is alot IMO. Iron dissolving cleaners only really need to be used when it's been sitting on the wheel for a bit. I suppose splitting a 5L jug amongst F/F

I'm not uber eco green, but FWIW, just Soap and Pressure Washer knocks off pretty much any brake dust IMO. Leftover car soap does whatever final degreasing I might need on the wheels.

I used to be ~that guy~. But the big jugs cause it was more economical. At the end of the day, I realize everything has a shelf life and if I don't use it up within 24 months, I would rather have a fresher bottle of product.

Besides, and this is subjective, but all wheel cleaners ,even the most gentlest like P21S, etc , at some, IMO degrades the wheel decal...

OT, but does the OP get click money for the YT hits ?

I use this product and it works pretty well, especially if you combine it with a wheel brush that you can attach to your drill! Bavarian Auto sells such a brush and it is amazing! Still, I've found that there is stubborn residue that I cannot remove even when using Sonax + the drill brush. There's got to be a more durable tool to remove stubborn, baked on brake dust.

Why scrub...
There does exist a tool. Meguiars Wheel Brighter
Best to wear a respirator/mask.
Let it dwell long enough just to clean it.
It's good stuff and something I use for a post winter wash after the snows come off

There is. Paint polish. The paint on factory wheels is the same paint as the car. Unless it is pitted and cannot be repaired, use what you'd use on the car.

I have used 3M Clear safe rubbing compound and some elbow grease.

This was my Sonax experience. Though no YT hits.

For the Wiki, dubs is just fine pricepoint wise for a wheel cleaner.
It's `effective` enough.

However, if you compare it side2side to other alternatives if using it on paint as part of a decontamination process, dubs will show it's not as effective in this dept....
