I did notice a while back that when I check my radio coding that "aux input" is not enabled. I tried to enable it but it stayed as 'Not enabled" My OBD cable might have been getting flakey (it gave out completely sometime after)

What was the build date of your radio?

That is a good question because while I didn't check the build date at the time I did notice that it was a "rebuilt" unit, probably had pixels done. That also brings up the question is what I am calling the "radio" actually only the MID ? and does that play a roll or is it just the "business cd" unit where the inputs get connected that matters ?

Not sure why xoutpost is not showing embedded videos. Maybe my laptop needs an update.

Anyway, here's a link to YouTube:

Kudos for that video! It should be mandated for everyone that has asked the question about adding the aux jack! So concise and to the point. Thanks man!

Public Service Announcement on the AUX kit: it’s not well documented but I found this on the forum a few years ago when I installed the aux kit in my ‘05 4.8is…the input level is adjustable using the 1-6 buttons while in AUX mode, 6 being the highest and on mine closest to the volume level of the other modes.
