FWIW, I used the flat side of an air cutting wheel to grind/trim the Memphis Audio outer edge to allow the factory dash grille tab to clear and seat properly.

This made quick work of what I needed to remove from the outer edges.

Did you get enough off the new speaker edge to avoid trimming the factory grill tab? That is good to know its possible if so.

Totally drove through Dallas today.

Yes, I did.

I did not trim the grille tabs at all on my Memphis Audio midrange install.

Mike did you snap any pics? I know its prob self explanatory but figured if it saves me a few mins to have a visual of where you trimmed that would be great -

Hi Ricky,

Sadly, no pics on my efforts with the Memphis Audio mid-ranges.

Prop had some good ones showing the area he worked on in the early part of this thread.
