Thanks for the replies guys. I really do appreciate it. How do I get the wishbones to drop down further in order to remove the spring?

Just went through this with my rear suspension refresh. You can pry the swing arm down, especially if you put your jack under the hub NOT the swing arm. It's a bitch. But I got it. The bolt you pictured for the top of the integral link should be run in PRIOR to running in the bottom bolt, the long one, the one that holds the rear axle carrier to the swing arm.

The only way I know of to get the axle to drop further is to disconnect the swing arm from the axle carrier. You might try loosening it and the bolts holding the swing arm to the frame. That my take enough tension off to allow you to push the swing and axle carrier down so you can move the spring. |
