By the way, looks like you can’t measure the oil temp in the ibus app. Either can I, anyone know if that is a common problem ?

This could also be that the temperature sensor in your oil level sensor has failed.

It does not mean that. The IBus app incompatibility with the E53 is the culprit for this symptom as it simply does not apply to the E53.

The oil temp isn't the avins issue or the seicanes etc it has to do with the car its installed in. Only certain bmw's have the oil temp sensor feature.

OP, the screen angle/brightness kills the visibility on my Avant 2...does the 3 address or have any improvement over the 2?

The Zbox has nothing to do with the usb stick & the Ibus app, but to answer your question it makes no difference if it’s plugged in or not
