AC not working
I have noticed the compressor clutch does not engage, so does this mean the compressor needs replacing or is it possible the system needs to be regased? Can it lose gas without using the AC for this long of a period?

I'm no expert here, but, in my experience - if your refrigerant level gets too low, it won't kick in your compressor/clutch when you hit the snowflake (AC) button. I've been able to infuse a can of refrigerant and, during the process, the compressor clutch kicks in and things start working.
But, as I'm sure you know - there could be a host of other issues; leak in the system/bad compressor/etc. |

My experience was compressor kicked in no fan though blowing warm air. Shop diagnosed leaks in Schroeder valves and replaced the sensor voila 44degrees now and fan comes on
Good luck |
