We know the bus is intact because the mirrors fold in and out. It still sounds the signal from one of the micro-switches isn't being seen though.
Are we past one mirror being slow, and one being loose(not engaged in the clutch detents) ?

Normally, the passenger door module would be suspect (water damage) but the OP has swapped it? With another faulty unit? (It has happened - just recently on this forum!).

Seems like these modules are a little susceptible to water damage (windows down when raining).

I only swapped the driver's window switch for another one just to test. Made no difference.

Replaced the driver's MIRRORS for another unit again. Yes, left mirror being slowler has been resolved after the second mirror was installed.

Both (window switch and mirror) came off a car I bought for parts sitting in my backyard and tested it myself before removing. This car was coded to fold upon locking and open when unlocking with the key fob.

Now once installed in my car they just open and close immediately.

I'll try swapping the passenger window switch next later today.

I know for sure my original passenger mirror was working because earlier troubleshooting a month ago was when the they both used to stay folded but the driver's mirror would open up 180 degrees.

Right now the both mirrors are tight and no play so don't think any thing is broken. And they both click into it's resting place nice and tight.

When you say mirrors fold without doing anything. are you saying without pushing button? And your car is coded for folding with button only right?

The mirrors came off another car and was just stating that I know they were working and I tested it. And that car was also coded to fold in with the key fob.

Glad it's sorted!

While we've seen a number of members with faults due to water damage in the drivers module, I dont recall seeing an issue that was traced back to water damage in the passenger module. But it makes sense that both modules are susceptible and can cause similar issues when they suffer from water ingress....

I had no idea but luckily had spare parts laying around.

I personally hate the window switch location.

The door grab handle is in the way which is susceptible to scratches if you are wearing a watch and those plastic TITAN trims ain't cheap.

Agree with you on ergonomics - they got that rather wrong. :-(

It's just plain awkward...
